Krafts 4 Kibera

On our first trip to Kibera to work in New Hope Primary School, we had the idea of having the students paint pictures for us to sell in order to help the school. We were shown amazing support from our friends and family, and Penda Project was able to pay for the school fees of 120 orphans at New Hope through the art of the students. Over the years, this idea has grown into Krafts 4 Kibera, a way for the students at the primary school to be able to help their school and classmates.

This past year, we were able to raise over $3000 by selling crafts and Penda shirts - enough money to pay for the school fees of every single student who is unable to pay on their own at New Hope. We've been working hard this summer to have a new group of items available as a way for you to be able to help support the students of Kibera Penda Project. In the next few weeks we will begin selling sock creature stuffed animals, Africa keychains, jewelry and t-shirts through our online store! Keep in touch to find out more about the release of the items as well as other ways you can partner with Kibera Penda Project and love the slum.
