Just wanted to let everyone know that through our Krafts for Kibera project, 31 New Hope Primary School students have been sponsored!!
New Hope Primary School consists of 1st through 8th grades and currently runs around 450 students. Many of these children are orphans, and are not able to pay the $45 a year it costs to attend primary school.
Krafts for Kibera was created through the Kibera Penda Project to give these students an opportunity to raise money for their school fees! The kids make crafts - such as painting pictures and making bracelets -and then the Kibera Penda Project team brings these crafts back to sell. 100% of the profits from the crafts goes to support the children in the New Hope Primary School.
