Jantriz had been sick since she was a baby and has struggled with illness her whole life. Conditions in the slum make life difficult for anyone- especially a sick child. Our mission at Kibera Penda Project is to see the lives of the people of Kibera changed forever. We desire to be able to meet all of the needs of the kids in our school, especially their medical needs. This summer we provided free HIV/AIDS testing on all of our 500 children and we have began the initial stages in providing a full, free medical clinic for the children and their families. The loss of Jantriz reminds us at Kibera Penda Project why we must continue to fight on behalf of the people of Kibera. Jantriz was a victim of poverty and life in the slum. We will continue to work hard everyday to see the people of Kibera freed from the poverty cycle. Your support and partnership with Kibera Penda Project help us continue to make a difference in the lives of these precious kids. Thank you for all you do and we ask that you continue to join us in our fight against poverty.

In Memory of Jantriz
This week, one of our precious kids passed away. Jantriz was a kindergartner at New Hope Primary School and one of the sweetest little girls you would ever meet. We are heartbroken to lose her, but we are grateful that she is now free from the struggles and pain of life in the slum.
